Camphill Farm Community Hermanus
The Camphill Farm Community works hand in hand with the School by taking on adults and older students and introducing them to a life of quality and meaning. The Community gives each person certain responsibilities and tasks, which help them to improve both their skills and knowledge base, helping them to become a part of this unique group of amazing individuals. The Community consists of several different enterprises – mainly a dairy, bakery, egg “garden”, craft facilities, herb gardens and many more. The Community also hosts a stall at the popular Hermanus Market every Saturday where they sell the excess breads and dairy products from the Farm. The money raised goes towards further improving the lives of the residents on the Farm as well as give the Community the chance to take on more people in need.

Hermanus Animal Welfare Society (HAWS)
HAWS has been helping animals for over 40 years by finding them homes, giving them medical attention or just watching over them throughout their journey. HAWS has two main venues for their institute: The kennels in Steenbras Street and the Charity Shop in Mitchell Street. The Charity Shop is always bustling with customers or people dropping off donated goods to sell as all proceeds go to HAWS and improving their equipment and resources. HAWS also has a volunteer program, wherein you are able to volunteer to help look after the animals and the facilities in your free time.

Enlighten Education Trust
Founded in 2002, the Enlighten Education Trust was created to encourage and support the lives and experiences of the communities within the Overberg area. However, unlike similar Trusts and Foundations, when it comes to what they offer they are not limited to a prescribed set of rules or regulations. They rather focus on what is needed most in that community based on teaching, learning, community and family participation and involvement. Therefore, all projects that are implemented by the Trust compliment and support each other whilst also insuring the improvement of the community chosen.
