Hermanus is located approximately 120km (around 75 miles) outside of Cape Town, with several different routes to take that offer up scenic views of the area. From the airport visitors also have the option to  or organize a shuttle to get to your desired location.

Through the Mountains
From the airport, take the N2 from Borcherds Quarry Road onto Settlers Way (the N2). Carry on along the N2 into Somerset West and carry on through the area and over Sir Lowry’s Pass until you reach the turnoff to the R43. Take this turnoff until you arrive in Hermanus.

Along the Coast
Although this is a slightly longer and more winding route, the scenery is breathtaking, giving drivers uninterrupted views of the ocean. From the airport get onto the N2 (Settlers Way) and follow this through until the turnoff onto the R44 at the last traffic intersection and follow the beautiful route until the T-junction. Turn right onto the R43 and drive until you arrive in Hermanus.
