Zwelihle is the township situated between Hermanus and Sandbaai. Cultural tours are available to Zwelihle, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the streets and talk to the local people, enjoy a drink at a local shebeen and shop at a local spaza shop. Voëlklip is a popular holiday destination situated between mountain and sea on the outer reaches of Hermanus. The main beach, namely Grotto Beach, stretches for kilometres, giving both tourists and locals an exceptional experience. Vermont borders Onrus River and is sandwiched between Hawston and Sandbaai, offering magnificent ocean views and a majestic mountain backdrop. The area offers peace and tranquillity away from the busy town centre; endemic fynbos and bird life await you in this scenic holiday village. Other highlights include the Vermont Trail, a beautiful coastal path, Breakfast Bay as well as The Vermont Salt Pan which is always teeming with indigenous bird-life.

Sandbaai is situated on the edge of Hermanus, opposite the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Named after its sandy bays, it is only a stone’s throw away from Hermanus. It offers the ideal base from where visitors can explore Hermanus and its many attractions. Sandbaai beach is mainly used by the locals, making it a more private and intimate section, which is dotted with rock pools and small coves that are ideal for snorkelling and safe swimming at low tide.

Onrus is a small residential area that can be found at the edge of Hermanus, after Zwelihle. It's quaint yet modern homes and restaurants make it a beautiful place to stay or visit. Onrus is also famous for its stunning beach and lagoon, where you can enjoy the sun, sea and a restaurant experience whilst overlooking the shoreline.
