Onrus Beach is situated at the end of Onrus, between Sandbaai and Vermont and is a peaceful and much loved suburb. Onrus Beach is famous for the Onrus Classic Surfing and Body Boarding Competition held annually during the December holidays. The facilities include a beach bar and restaurant, situated on the edge of the lagoon, showers and change rooms for swimmers and ample beach space and parking. The lagoon offers safe swimming and canoeing opportunities and lifeguards are on duty during peak seasons.
